About enterprise
Udeshi, Ltd.
Oscar Udeshi, of Austrian and Zanzibar parentage, was born and raised in the former British colony of Hong Kong. In London he read economics and philosophy at the London School of Economics, before embarking on a career as a banker at a prestigious financial institution in the City.
While working in the city, he was looking for the clothes that would make up his ideal wardrobe. Unable to find them, he had all his clothes made to his designs and specification.
To fill the void that was missing in traditional tailored clothing,
Mr. Udeshi left finance, trained under one of the last remaining bespoke shirtmakers of Jermyn Street and created the label UDESHI in 1999.
His passion had become his calling.
Mr. Udeshi is an active member of the British menswear industry and was elected youngest chairman of the British Menswear Guild in 2008 and became a board member of the UK Textile and Fashion Association in 2009. He also writes regular columns for the two industry magazines Drapers and Menswear Buyer.

The coin holder is made using a unique Florentine technique that almost makes the outside seams invisible. The leather is made subtle and stretched over a hand made wooden mould, to form the curvature of the coin holder. It is then covered in the hand cut stingray skins.

Inspired by a coat worn by a prominent 1960s "gentleman" gangster - if such a thing exists, the collar and lapels are covered in astrakan (Persian lamb) imitation.
They provide warmth and show the status of the coat wearer.
The coat is cut with a fly front and unusually double vents - which...

Our signature collar style, the extreme cutaway is possibly the most spread collar, that sweeps back as far as possible, just before the yoke, any further back and there would be no point in having a collar.
The collar was developed through extensive trials, not just to obtain the optimal...

When all men at a black tie function look like a sea of identical penguins, there will be always one who wants to be different, but in a subtle, discrete way.
This jacket was made for that person.
Created by Mr. Udeshi, who was fed up of looking like one of the other penguins, he chose...

Created by Mr. Udeshi who was looking for a soft, flexible pair of loafers that were so comfortable he could wear them without socks, but durable enough to take two summers in the south of France. Whatever he found was too hard and caused blisters, or too soft and badly sewn together that they fell...

Made of a single piece of silk, folded seven times and nothing else, the seven fold tie is the epitome of the tie maker's craft.
Completely sewn by hand, a true seven fold is made without lining or tipping - the silk itself gives body to the tie.
